Etsy Massacre's Shop of the month for August- Powerups!!

Are you looking for a one of a kind print of the darker nature? Then Powerups is the shop you need to check out! They got the horror movie inspired prints your walls are craving!

What is your favorite horror movie related item in your shop at this very moment and why?
I have to go with my boom stick print. I am a big Bruce Campbell fan, and simple as this one is, it never fails to make me smile. While there are few things I love as much as making shoppers happy, it's always nice when I can amuse myself on the way. This idea started out with my husband and partner in crime, Wes, and I can't thank him enough for it.What is it about horror movies that inspires you and your art?
I'll watch pretty much anything horror-related - or at least give it a shot. I love the scares, I love the make-up, the effects, even the cheesy acting. What really gets me is when a horror film transcends just being a cool horror flick and becomes something really visually special as well. I think The Devil's Rejects is one of the top examples of this for me. It's not just a good horror movie, it's a good movie, and some of the shots are genuinely artistic and gorgeous and have inspired things like my Rocky Mountain Way painting, which has actually hung in art shows in the past.

Why did you join the Etsy Massacre Team
It seemed like - and really has been, thankfully - a group of people after my own heart. It's an active group even when I'm not able to be as active as I'd like, and the people have been unfailingly fun to virtually hang out with. What could be better than a bunch of people sharing their love of horror? Nothing!
